This will be my third year of teaching freshmen and sophomores at Capistrano Valley High School. This is a picture of my 1st period English II class last semester. They were so much fun, and I am going to miss seeing some of them all the time. This picture was taken when I got back from my honeymoon in Maui. They threw me a party with cake and presents. They just didn't want to do what was on our lesson plan for that day.

Marriage.
Everyone says that marriage is hard. It is hard, but it is one of the very best blessings God has given me. We have been married for 5 months. So far, many people have shared their thoughts about marriage with us.
Some of my favorites are: 1) Attempt to rediscover each other each new day, and for the rest of your lives. 2) In marriage, each partner, subconsciously, seeks for their partner to fill the needs that were not met in childhood. In knowing this, it is imperative to communicate your past, your feelings, your needs, and the reasons which support all of these. In doing so, you are able to differentiate between intentional and unintentional actions that may cause hurt or lack of understanding. Also, one is able to realize their needs and express them to their partner. As a result, both members of the marriage are able to connect on a deeper level of understanding of one another, and not allow a potentially disastrous misunderstanding to leave one partner feeling unheard. 3) Find out how best to support one another in times of hurt. 4) Pray for one another zealously.
Cory and I definitely don't have it all figured out, but I do know a few things: He loves me more than I even know. He is going to make an amazing father to our children one day. He cares about my happiness and hurts. He is the one person who knows how to comfort me best. He is the only one who is capable of making me laugh to the point of tears. He is the one God has given me to stand beside, support, and pray for each morning, and kiss goodnight always.
